2. Website access and hosting
The operator administers a server hosted with SERVER4YOU. Delivering the website requires connection data, including IP address, request time, requested address, HTTP status, browser and operating system details and, where transmitted, referring page. The hosting provider may access these data as a technical service provider.
Processing serves delivery, troubleshooting and protection against attacks, based on our legitimate interest in secure operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted according to configured retention and rotation rules. Security-related extracts may be needed until an incident is resolved; further retention may be required by law or for legal claims.
3. Email enquiries
We use your email address, message and voluntarily provided details to handle your enquiry under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) for contract-related enquiries. Correspondence is deleted when no longer needed for handling the matter, legal obligations or legal claims. Email service providers participate in transmission and storage.
4. Local settings and search
“uol-language” stores your language choice in your browser until you change it or clear the website data. “uol-youtube-consent-v1” stores your YouTube decision for up to 180 days. These settings are not transmitted to our server as a user profile. Storage implements your selected language and privacy decision (section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Search terms are processed in your browser against the provided page contents and are not sent to a search provider. The delivered pages contain no analytics or advertising tracking scripts. Technical server logs are separate. Fonts and the default category and header images are served by this website.
5. YouTube videos and thumbnails
YouTube is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Before permission, neither the YouTube player nor Google-hosted thumbnails are loaded; a local image is displayed instead. Permission loads the player, thumbnails and other Google resources needed for playback. IP address, device and browser details, the visited page and playback information may be transmitted to Google, and information may be stored on or read from your device. Google may associate this with a signed-in account.
The legal bases are consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. The player uses youtube-nocookie.com, which does not prevent all data transfers. After permission, the muted preview may play automatically when visible. Data may be processed outside the EU/EEA, including in the USA. Google describes its transfer mechanisms, retention and further uses in its privacy policy.
Permission is optional and can be withdrawn through “Privacy settings” in the footer. The page then reloads and blocks further embeds. Withdrawal cannot erase data already transmitted to Google or cookies set by Google, and does not affect prior lawful processing. You can alternatively follow an explicit link to watch directly on YouTube.
6. External links and community services
News sources, Discord, WhatsApp, Facebook, X and YouTube are external services with their own privacy information and terms. Social buttons are ordinary links; displaying them does not itself connect to those providers. Following a link does. Community members may see profile information and, depending on the WhatsApp group feature, your phone number.
News, event and video information is fetched on the server without sending visitor data to these sources.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and, where applicable, portability. You may withdraw consent for future processing and object to processing under Article 6(1)(f) for reasons relating to your particular situation. Contact admin@unionoflegends.com.
You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. The Baden-Württemberg authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
No account details are required to read this website. Connection data are necessary for delivery; email details and YouTube permission are optional. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
